The council recognises their responsibilities to visitors and particularly to the residents who pay their Council Tax and they try to support all worthwhile local activities. They own very little in the way of property other than the Walcott Road Cemetery and the village allotments, hence the sub committees set up to run these.

The Parish of Billinghay has three active churches (St Michael and All Angels (C of E), Bethel Chapel (Baptist) and a Methodist Church), as well as  a market place and war memorial.

A play area beside the village hall includes a skate park and zip wire. An enclosed play area for younger children is also nearby. There are several Public Footpaths and Walks around the village.

A wide range of sporting activities are available and during the summer the open air Billinghay Swimming Pool is widely used.

Billinghay has several special interest groups that meet regularly that include history and walking. We have our own Medical Practice with Pharmacy and a Children's Centre serving the area. There are shops, hairdressers, 1 public house and other businesses - all helping Billinghay to remain an active, community-spirited, central location to live in.
